INTRODUCTION

My whole career has been devoted to spreading the joy of the French language, firstly as a teacher with 12 years’ experience in the classroom and then as a successful entrepreneur, organizing academically relevant tours to France over the past 18 years. These tours provided a unique experience for scholars to perfect their spoken and written French by attending an international French language school and over 6500 students have had the good fortune and privilege to experience these programmes.

Regretfully, Covid-19 changed the world, wreaking havoc with the travel industry and it is with great sadness that my tours have had to be put on hold. Hopefully, though, they will be able to resume in the not-too-distant future, once we return to our ‘new normal’.
